Pharmacist
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays. Saturday shifts will be part of a rotating schedule shared with the full-time pharmacists.
The Pharmacist will be responsible for safely dispensing medications, counseling patients, monitoring medication usage, and ensuring all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, storage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Monitor medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug-related concerns
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related concerns
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to established procedures
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
- Maintain appropriate pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff as needed
- Ensure medications and pharmacy practices meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active pharmacist license in the applicable state
