Registered Nurse RN Med/Surg

Medical Surgical Location: Livingston- Brighton New Hospital Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Registered Nurse supporting the 10 bed 3 South surgical unit and/or the 19-bed acuity adaptable blended unit. Minimum rate of pay: $35.64 PLUS Daily PAY. This role supports our Critical Care Unit and is suitable for those with CCU or PCU/Step-Down experience. Required Qualifications Education Graduation from a school of nursing that qualifies the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred. Licensure Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License. BLS. ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency, and PCU at Livingston. Experience Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply. Graduation from accredited nursing program. Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role. Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs. Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care. Shift Night Shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Full‑Time; Part‑time.
