Lips — New York’s ultimate in drag dining for 30 years — is seeking a General Manager to lead our vibrant NYC venue. This role requires a dynamic leader with hospitality and restaurant management experience, passionate about drag culture and delivering unforgettable guest experiences. You'll oversee daily operations, staff, and the iconic drag shows that make Lips a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of a high-volume entertainment restaurant
- Ensure food and beverage costs are in line
- Scheduling and payroll
- Liquor purchasing
- Lead a medium-sized team of 10-30 staff, providing training and performance oversight
- Ensure exceptional customer experience through direct involvement and staff guidance
- Oversee daily drag show production and coordinate with performers
- Monitor inventory and vendor relations to maintain operational efficiency
- Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions and audience engagement
- Resolve conflicts promptly to maintain a positive environment
- Utilize POS and staff scheduling software effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years in hospitality management
- Experience in staff supervision and customer service
- Skills in conflict resolution and marketing fundamentals
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
