Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in operating various types of vehicles including motor coaches, school buses, and shuttles. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers. The Motor Coach Driver will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while adhering to scheduled routes and regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate motor coaches, shuttles, and other vehicles according to established routes and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing inquiries.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle through regular maintenance checks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in training new drivers as needed, sharing knowledge on best practices in bus driving and maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Motor Coach Driver or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Experience in paratransit services or school bus driving is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with shuttle driving operations is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with passengers and team members.
