This role focuses on accurately packing products for shipment in a corporate manufacturing facility. You will receive items from pickers, verify order details, and prepare shipments using an RF scanner, computer, and appropriate packing materials. The position requires frequent lifting, attention to detail, and comfort working with basic technology in a small, friendly team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive products from pickers and prepare them for shipment according to order requirements.
• Use an RF scanner to scan all items brought to your station and ensure accurate tracking.
• Select appropriate boxes and packing materials based on the size, weight, and nature of the product.
• Print shipping labels from the computer and attach them correctly to the packages.
• Verify all items against pick sheets to confirm accuracy of orders before shipment.
• Perform basic data entry to update order and shipment information in the computer system.
• Lift and move products and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
• Work while standing and sitting at the packing station for extended periods as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station in the stock room.
• Communicate clearly with team members and other departments to resolve packing or order issues.
• Follow all company procedures for packing, labeling, and handling products.
• Contribute to a positive, friendly team atmosphere while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Comfort standing and sitting at a packing station for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a workstation and print labels.
• Ability to use an RF scanner to scan and track products accurately.
• Basic data entry skills for updating order and shipment information.
• Ability to work effectively in a warehouse or stock room environment.
• Capability to read and understand pick sheets and instructions, demonstrated by passing a 3rd grade reading level test.
• Attention to detail to verify that packed items match pick sheets and labels.
• Reliability to work a full shift starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m.
• Strong focus on accuracy, organization, and following established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No formal education or certificates required.
• Experience in packing, labor, stock handling, or warehouse work is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse technology is a plus.
• Comfort interacting with individuals at various levels within a corporate facility.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively in a small team setting.

Work Environment

You will work in a smaller stock room within a corporate and manufacturing facility rather than a large, traditional warehouse. The team consists of about five people, with approximately four others working in the packing area at the La Grange location. Each person has their own workstation equipped with a computer and RF scanner. The schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. The environment is friendly and conversational, and you may occasionally interact with senior leaders who work in the same facility. The role involves standing and sitting at your station, handling boxes and materials, and working around typical warehouse and stock room equipment. Dress should be practical and suitable for a hands-on packing and light warehouse setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
