General Manager

Make a Difference At MTM Transit. Located in Broward County, FL, the General Manager collaborates with operations, corporate support departments, and transportation providers to deliver transportation services that meet contractual requirements and community needs. Responsibilities Contract oversight and facilitation of client needs, anticipating growth. Identify potential risks and develop resolution processes. Continuously analyze program needs and productivity; adjust staffing and resources for cost effectiveness. Develop or oversee documentation and work plans as required. Train and develop employees. Act as liaison between MTM Transit and clients to ensure timely problem resolution. Present annual plan reviews in a consultative manner. Educate clients on MTM Transit procedures, services, and industry changes. Maintain a “Safety First” attitude with clients and personnel. Ensure compliance with FTA and DOT guidelines in employee and vehicle record keeping. Monitor performance of direct reports; provide coaching and guidance. Oversee federally mandated Drug and Alcohol program. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. 7–10+ years of experience managing or supporting a large, multimillion‑dollar operations team. Experience managing a site of 100+ employees in a union environment. Prior management experience in the Para‑Transit or livery industries. Experience monitoring delivery of contractual services. Valid current driver’s license. Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In‑depth knowledge of MTM Transit operations, policies, and guidelines. Proficiency in computerized transit routing systems, data analysis, reporting, and analytics. Strong interpretive and problem‑solving abilities. Scheduling, organization, and prioritization across multiple tasks. Understanding of budget and cost analysis. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Knowledge of ADA, DOT, and FTA regulations. Ability to establish key processes and procedures. Confidentiality and high ethical standards.
