Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) is available in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing inpatient care on a 28-bed unit with a diverse medical and surgical patient population. The position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and offers day/evening, 12-hour shifts. Candidates must meet the specified qualifications and be prepared to float as needed.

Job Details:

• Shift: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, 0700 - 1930, with weekend rotation and holidays as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty; experience with Epic electronic medical record system; inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Travelers are required to float as needed. Locals not accepted. Pass/Fail testing with strict criteria is required, including a telemetry exam with up to two attempts. The exam covers identification of lethal rhythms and heart block questions. Candidates failing after three attempts must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before reapplying, or the assignment will be canceled.
• Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Parking permit required through UW Transportation; other transportation options available.
• Experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty.
