Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - CVICU

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - CVICU

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of TX or compact
