We’re seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to support our technicians, strengthen shop performance, and deliver on Nextran’s Pledge to Customers. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on driving uptime, ensuring quality repairs, and developing our technicians through coaching and on‑the‑job training—while keeping safety, teamwork, and accountability at the forefront of everything we do. What You’ll Do Lead the shop floor by coordinating daily operations and assigning work to keep repairs on schedule and customers on the road. Drive productivity by prioritizing workflow, removing roadblocks, and meeting estimated time of repair (ETR) goals. Inspire, coach, and develop technicians through hands‑on leadership, training, and performance feedback. Work side‑by‑side with Service Writers, Shop Technicians, and Mobile Service Technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and maximize fleet uptime. Tackle complex diagnostics and provide technical expertise when the toughest repairs need a leader's touch. Champion quality by ensuring repairs are done right the first time and minimizing rework and comebacks. Create a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement every day. Keep communication flowing with technicians, customers, and leadership to ensure every job stays on track. Help build a high‑performing team that takes pride in delivering outstanding service and exceeding customer expectations. Jump in wherever needed to keep the shop running smoothly and support the success of the team. Other duties may be assigned at any time based on departmental needs. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of heavy‑duty truck maintenance and repair experience. 3–5 years of experience in a lead technician, foreman, or supervisory role. Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building skills with a positive, team‑first attitude. Experience leading teams, managing performance, and developing employees. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and business partners. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, drivers, technicians, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), email, internet research, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Ability to quickly learn and effectively use dealership management software for work order management, customer accounts, scheduling, and reporting. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record that meets company insurability requirements. Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of hire. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on shop environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
