Industrial GMAW/GTAW Welder, Blueprint-Driven

Location: Sharonville, OH

Schedule/Type: Night Shift • Full-time • Direct Hire

Is this you?

• Do you excel at submerged arc welding in heavy-fabrication environments?
• Can you read complex blueprints and AWS symbols and translate them into precise welds?
• Are you comfortable setting preheat/post-heat, running SAW/MIG/Stick (and TIG as needed), and using positioners?
• Do you keep a 5S workspace and lean into 5-Why when something goes off-spec?

What you’ll tackle

You’ll prepare parts and tooling, verify workholding, and set required heat conditions. You’ll align and fit components using clamps, jigs, and fixtures, then execute high-quality welds per approved procedures and work instructions. You’ll measure against blueprint tolerances (including machining stock) and maintain a clean, safe environment. When quality or maintenance issues arise, you’ll help drive root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated SAW experience in industrial or heavy-fabrication settings.
• Certified welder or the ability to qualify to procedures and maintain certifications.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, blueprints, weld instructions, and AWS symbols.
• Experience with fit-up, part setup, clamps, jigs, fixtures, positioners, and hand tools.
• Accurate measurement skills with consideration for downstream machining.
• Safety-first, reliable performance on the night shift.
• 2+ years of relevant industrial welding/fabrication or equivalent hands-on experience.
• MIG and Stick welding experience for fit-up and multi-component joining; TIG exposure beneficial.
• Ability to set/maintain preheat and post-heat or follow detailed heat-treatment instructions.
• Experience under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
• Familiarity with 5S, root-cause analysis, and reducing nonconforming work.
• Comfort using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability: lift/move 50+ lbs; reach, grasp, hold, push, pull; bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel; strong hand/eye coordination; stand for long periods.
• Strong communication skills.
