• Secondary Site (25%) : 350 Lowell Street, Andover, MA

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Flexible scheduling available

Pay Rate:

• $30.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across engineering and manufacturing operations. This role requires a proactive professional with experience in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, sustainability programs, workplace safety, and employee training. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and leadership, while supporting multiple projects and regulatory compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, stormwater and groundwater protection, air quality permitting, wastewater management, and toxic chemical reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, water conservation, and greenhouse gas management.
• Promote employee awareness and engagement in environmental compliance and sustainability efforts through communication and training programs.
• Maintain and analyze sustainability-related data and reporting metrics.
• Support and continuously improve EH&S programs, including:
  • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assessments
  • RIDII programs
  • Ergonomics initiatives
  • Contractor safety management
• Conduct audits and evaluations of EH&S policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses for safety concerns and workplace events.
• Track corrective and preventative actions and contribute to injury prevention and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver EH&S training programs for employees and contractors.
• Interpret and apply OSHA, NIOSH, and ANSI standards to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting environmental compliance programs, including:
  • RCRA hazardous waste management
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Programs (SWPPP)
  • Sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to expand responsibilities across various EH&S disciplines, including environmental compliance and sustainability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.
• Experience conducting and delivering EH&S training programs.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with EH&S management systems, databases, and reporting platforms.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant EH&S experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or similar environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Prairie, TX.

The pay range for this position is $78.80 - $78.80/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
