About This Role

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for young children and supporting the Teachers and Director in delivering high-quality education. This involves effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning. By observing and documenting children's progress, the Teacher Assistant fosters positive relationships with parents and staff, while implementing engaging activities that cater to their interests and needs.

• Encourage children's participation in curricula activities and promote a sense of ownership through hands-on engagement.
• Take charge of classroom organization, ensuring that materials are maintained and accessible to all.
• Develop strong relationships with parents through regular updates and progress reports, keeping them informed of their child's growth and development.
• Model good hygiene and self-help skills, setting a positive example for the children.
• Streamline daily transitions, ensuring a smooth and seamless handover from home to child care center.
• Adhere to center policies and state regulations, upholding the highest standards of care and education.
• Develop a personal professional development plan to drive continuous improvement and excellence.

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• A high level of energy is required to thrive in this role.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as basic computer skills, are necessary.
• An understanding of child development is crucial for success in this position.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
• A valid Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Must pass a full background check and a health screening.

Hold a TCC, CDA, or Associates In ECE degree
