Our organization is actively seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to become a part of our Psychiatry Department faculty. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, offering flexibility; the role primarily involves outpatient care with some responsibilities in a hospital setting.

The department features a 26-bed acute inpatient unit, a consultation-liaison service that attends to patients across the hospital, an outpatient psychiatry teaching clinic, an outpatient practice, and an integrated care program across various clinical locations. Our ACGME-accredited residency program in psychiatry hosts 28 residents and provides training for medical and physician assistant students from Albany Medical College, along with psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care to children and adolescents in both hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Provide consultations for the hospital and memory clinic.
  • Administer ECT and TMS treatments.
  • Educate and supervise psychiatry residents and medical students.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives.

Compensation: The starting salary is competitive, ranging from $240,000 to $250,000, and is negotiable based on academic rank and experience.
