Staff Software Engineer - .NET

The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle using a variety of technologies and tools to build impactful software solutions. The scope of this job includes building and optimizing comprehensive solutions that prioritize end-user efficiency and experience.Location: This is a remote position. Candidates located within 50 miles of WellSky’s headquarters in Overland Park, KS will join our WHQ community and participate in our in-office collaboration experience.Key Responsibilities:Lead the full stack design, development, and architectural decisions for our software solutions, leveraging deep expertise in .NET, C#, Angular, GCP, Azure, and related technologies.Collaborate with solution managers, engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define and communicate the architectural vision, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and maintainability.Collaborate with teams to ensure sustained quality and reliability of our software solutions and act as a go-to expert by identifying and resolving complex, high-priority issues in both development and production environments.Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software solutions and infrastructure.Address technical challenges, provide innovative solutions, and troubleshoot issues effectively.Actively contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback on design and implementation, and provide technical guidance to other engineers to elevate skills, productivity, and overall effectiveness.Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and AI capabilities that improve team efficiency, software performance, and development processes.Ensure code meets functional and performance requirements, advocate for high-quality software, and ensure rigorous testing processes, including automated unit tests, integration tests, and other testing frameworks.Leverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.Perform other job duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience 8 - 12 years related work experience Expertise in .NET, C#, Angular, GCP, Azure, and related technologiesCloud services integration experience (preferably with GCP), Azure to deploy, and manage solutionsExperience implementing and conducting robust testing to ensure code quality and reliability.Experience designing, optimizing, and managing SQL databases to support application requirements.Experience with architectural designs supporting scalability and performance optimization, particularly in cloud environments.Experience collaborating with security experts to implement robust security measures and best practices within the architecture.Experience with Cross-Platform Compatibility ensuring applications are compatible with multiple platforms and operating systems.Experience with AI tools and platformsPreferred Qualifications:    Healthcare industry experienceJob Expectations:Willing to work additional or irregular hours as neededMust work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client informationMust be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time#LI-TC1#LI-RemoteWellSky is where independent thinking and collaboration come together to create an authentic culture.
