Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN – Idaho

Schedule: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 12-week assignment. Rotating weekends with four weekend shifts per month. Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1-2:1 for PICU patients, 3:1 for Intermediate Care, and 4:1 for step-down care.

• 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing critical care to neonates through young adults
• Comprehensive case mix including advanced respiratory interventions, invasive line management, and continuous organ-support therapies
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse and 2-6 RNs with collaborative, acuity-based staffing model
• 12-week travel assignment with potential for extension
• Float opportunities to ICU and NICU for professional development and skill diversification
• Navy blue scrubs provided; professional and team-oriented unit culture

• Active Idaho RN license or compact state license with ability to practice in Idaho
• Minimum 1+ years of recent, direct bedside experience in pediatric critical care
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with pediatric mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal CPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Proficiency managing arterial lines, central lines, and titrating vasoactive, paralytic, and sedative infusions
• Competency in weight-based pharmacology (Broselow method/PALS dosing) and age-specific assessments across all pediatric populations
• Experience assisting with intubation, central line management, hemodynamic monitoring, and moderate sedation procedures
• Precepting experience with novice and new graduate nurses preferred
