School Social Worker in Coal Center, PA

A unique contract opportunity awaits experienced school social workers interested in supporting students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Coal Center, PA. This role is based on-site and will take place across two campus locations, with a focused caseload of 12 students, ensuring you can provide personalized attention and make a significant impact. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering direct social work services and interventions to support student well-being and academic growth during the ESY program. Collaborating with educational staff, families, and community resources to address barriers to learning. Conducting assessments and maintaining documentation in compliance with school and state requirements. Attending in-service for teachers prior to the start of the student program. Providing crisis intervention and counseling as needed throughout the session. Participating in team meetings to coordinate services and share important insights regarding student progress. We're seeking candidates with: Valid and current PA School Social Worker Certificate. Prior experience working within school settings or with school-aged children, preferably in ESY or summer programs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage a small, consistent caseload and collaborate across multiple sites. Flexibility to be present on campus from 8 AM 12 PM on scheduled dates between June 18 and July 17, 2026.
