We value long-term customer relationships, ethical business practices and a strong service culture. Position Overview The General Manager (GM) is the highest-ranking leader in the local branch. This role oversees the service department's daily operations, sets the strategic direction and drives revenue while controlling costs. Successful GMs are hands-on leaders who build high-performing teams and balance long-term planning with day-to-day executiontempositions.com. The GM reports directly to the owner/CEO. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to expand service contracts and grow the customer base. Identify market trends, cross-sell water treatment solutions and pursue new business opportunities. Build relationships with key clients, vendors and community partners to enhance the branch's reputation and generate referrals. Prepare and manage annual operating budgets and monitor performance metrics to evaluate operations and identify areas for improvement. Research and implement policies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and meet customer expectations. Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and collaborate with the corporate office on billing, invoicing and administrative tasks. Operational oversight Oversee day-to-day service operations, including scheduling, dispatch and field service, ensuring that operational processes align with business objectives. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, and support preventative maintenance programs for equipment. Utilize company software and technology tools to drive performance and track key metrics. Team leadership & culture Lead and motivate the service team; set individual and team performance targets and hold managers accountable. Recruit, train and develop staff, conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and mentorship. Foster a customer-centric, safety-focused work environment and promote open communication across the branch. Strategic planning & reporting Develop short-and long-term business plans that align with the company's strategic goals. Provide regular updates to the corporate team on branch performance, including revenue forecasts, cost analyses and key operational metrics. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies and regulatory changes in water treatment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the water treatment industry or a related service sector. Proven ability to manage budgets, improve operational efficiency and drive revenue growth. Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams, setting goals and achieving measurable results. Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the branch’s service area.
