Dr. Theresa Brooks for State Senate is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Campaign Manager for Michigan Senate District 9 in both the primary and the general elections. This race will be one of the most competitive in the state, and is crucial to maintaining a Democratic majority in the State Senate.

Role Overview

The Campaign Manager will report directly to the candidate, and work with the candidate to build strong field, fundraising, and communications programs. The Campaign Manager will create and maintain a detailed budget and finance plan, and ensure those plans are executed.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a budget, finance plan, and field plan.
• Prepare for and staff candidate call time.
• Build for fundraising events.
• Schedule, prepare for, and kick off canvassing days.
• Recruit volunteers for canvassing and other tasks needed by the campaign.
• Staff the candidate at major in-district events and meetings.
• Manage interns and volunteers as needed.

Other duties as needed. This position will require some evening and weekend work, as well as travel throughout the district and the state as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one cycle of experience on a political advocacy campaign or similar organization, in a management role.
• Experience staffing and supporting a principle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with donors, supporters, and staff at all levels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience using NGP, ActBlue, Votebuilder, and Google Suite preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Salary for this position is commensurate with experience.
