Physician - Optometrist

Optometrist

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Optometrist for a temporary assignment in Allentown, Pennsylvania. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for an Optometrist:

Assignment duration of 6+ months in an FQHC Clinic setting
Support a new clinic location with general cases
Adapt to an average daily census based on growth (comparable location sees approximately 32 patients per day)
Complete one week of EMR training and shadowing prior to independent practice
Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Local candidates strongly preferred; travel costs are not covered and are the responsibility of the provider if traveling
Anticipate a credentialing timeline of 60 to 90 days prior to start
