- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
- Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
- Performing design verification in accordance with applicable standards and internal engineering guidelines.
- Supporting compliance with UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and other applicable standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, quality, and product management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering ( or equivalent ) required
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware design, sustaining engineering, or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with electrical hardware, PCBAs, electronic components, and cabling.
- Experience with OrCAD, Altium, Windchill PLM, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of electrical design principles, PCBA design, and product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, RoHS, REACH, and PFAS compliance.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering or product development teams.
