Job Title

Travel RN – Critical Care Float Pool

Location

Albany, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Float across a variety of ICU settings including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
• Provide ICU-level care to patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Deliver competent, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple units
• Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit environments as part of a critical care float pool
• Complete a required competency test within 24 hours of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must not reside in an ineligible local county — out-of-area candidates only (local candidates are not being accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Experience floating to a variety of ICU environments
• Comfort and competency caring for complex, high-acuity critical care patients across multiple specialty units
