What You’ll Do
\nAs a Commercial Security Sales Executive , you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth for one of the most recognized names in electronic security. You’ll own your territory, build strategic relationships, and deliver innovative, end-to-end security solutions that protect what matters most to our customers.
\nIn this role, you are more than a sales professional—you’re a trusted advisor and brand ambassador , bringing the Johnson Controls Security story to life and reinforcing our position as a market leader.
\n \nKey responsibilities include:

Drive new business development by identifying, engaging, and closing commercial opportunities within your territory
\n - \n
Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and system upgrades
\n - \n
Convert legacy and competitor systems into Johnson Controls Security solutions
\n - \n
Renew and strengthen customer agreements to ensure long-term retention and satisfaction
\n - \n
Build and maintain a strong pipeline using creative prospecting and referral strategies
\n - \n
Develop and execute strategic call plans and territory management practices
\n - \n
Partner with customers post-installation to ensure expectations are met and relationships are strengthened
\n - \n
Maintain expert-level knowledge of our security technologies, services, and industry trends
\n

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence decision-makers , including senior executives

Strong time management skills with the ability to operate independently

Willingness to travel locally within your assigned territory

Bachelor’s degree
\n - \n
2+ years of successful B2B sales experience in security, IT, or technology solutions

Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $53,000 - $75,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
