Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 0 years minimum required License: Current RN license Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Experience preferred, but not required Description: To plan and provide total patient care through the use of the nursing process. Assess patient needs and plan accordingly. Implement care plans and evaluate patient outcomes. Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel. Maintain standards of professional nursing. Completion of health requirements is necessary prior to contract start date. Immunizations and a negative drug screen are required. Criminal background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process. Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse are essential. Successful completion of education modules for continuing education is required before starting the position. Holiday coverage will be required.
