Machine Operator Surface Treatment - 3rd Shift

Openwork is assisting a firearm manufacturing company located in Smyrna GA in seeking machine operators. Shift is 10 PM to 6 AM. Pay is $17.72 per hour for training (starting at this rate). The rate increases to $19.72 when moved to 3rd shift. Please apply if you meet the qualifications and are interested in this machine operator position. General Purpose Performs a variety of manual operations of machinery related to surface finishing. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the daily production of surface finishing of slides and barrels following the standard operating procedures (working instructions) to achieve company quality and production goals. Utilizes hand-tools such as files and de-burring tools to achieve set specifications. Performs quality inspections making visual checks to assure compliance with specifications; examines parts for surface defects and damage. Performs quality control using custom measuring equipment. Immediately reports errors in production and performance to Manufacturing Supervisor / Machine Adjuster. Operates manual and semiautomatic machines. Maintains work station by cleaning equipment and work area with appropriate materials. No previous training required. On-the-job training is provided. Must have the ability to meet daily production goals. Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
