Registered Dietitian - Casual

Heritage Valley Sewickley 720 Blackburn Road Sewickley, PA 15143, USA Department: Clinical Services Work Hours: Casual. Minimum of 16 hours per month, 1 holiday per year The primary function of the Registered Dietitian is to apply the science of nutrition to devise comprehensive nutrition therapy plans as a member of the health care team. Support data collection and/or analyze and report data for outcome studies and quality assessment processes. Provide leadership and support team building among staff dietitians and supportive nutrition service personnel. Support Heritage Valley mission, vision, and values by participating in interdisciplinary processes and committees, and HVHS sponsored community programs. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition, or related field of study from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved program. Certification/Licensure: Registration (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); maintain a valid Pennsylvania State License as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN); or achieve both RD/LDN within the first 12 months upon hire. Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable. Preferred Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Membership in a dietetic practice group. Membership in other professional organizations like PDA, ASPEN, American Diabetes Association, AADE, WPADE, etc. Advance practice certification (CDE, CNSC) and/or Master's Degree. At least one year experience in a clinical nutrition position. Experience in electronic medical record charting and proficiency in use of computers and internet.
