Job Information Job Location: Hyatt House Anaheim – Anaheim, CA 92802. Salary Range: $17.50 - $19.50 hourly. Age Requirement: 21+. This is a hotel bar; some days may be busier than others. Position Summary Bartenders play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Responsibilities include mixing and serving drinks, interacting with customers, taking orders, recommending beverages, and ensuring prompt, courteous service. The bartender maintains a clean and organized bar, restocks supplies, cleans glasses, and follows health and safety regulations. Success requires adherence to Hyatt House standards, knowledge of alcohol, cocktail recipes, and current drink trends. The bartender should exhibit excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Previous experience working as a bartender in a hotel or similar establishment. Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and various cooking methods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Familiarity with beverage cost control, inventory management, and food cost management. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol). Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects such as kegs, cases of liquor, and kitchen supplies. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Greeting and serving guests in a friendly and professional manner. Mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes. Taking and processing drink orders accurately and efficiently. Maintaining a clean and organized bar and kitchen area, including stocking and replenishing supplies. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of safety protocols to handle kitchen tools and chemicals safely. Ability to keep track of bar supplies, restock as necessary, and maintain an organized work area.
