Driver
Our client, a leading organization in logistics and distribution, is seeking a driver to join their team. As a driver, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting delivery and logistical functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Driver
Location: Long Island City, NY
Pay Range: $22-$23 per hour
Shift: MondayFriday: 4:00 AM 1:30 PM - OR - MondayThursday: 5:30 AM 2:00 PM + Sunday: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Duration: temp-to-hire
What's the Job?
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and materials to client locations.
- Load and unload box trucks and delivery vans. Prepare deliveries by reading purchase orders and pulling required products.
- Assemble orders and transport products using dollies and hand trucks.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including stocking, organizing, and retrieving inventory.
- Perform general warehouse cleaning and housekeeping duties. Work in refrigerated and freezer environments as needed.
What's Needed?
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 1+ years of previous delivery driving and logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Availability to work early morning shifts.
- Proper uniform including khaki pants, polo shirt, and non-slip shoes.
