ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the Intensive Care Unit, particularly in cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and respond accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
• Participate in rounding and shift report to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months ICU experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Cardiac experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date.
• Willingness to float within the designated scope across multiple locations as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts, specifically 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts.
• All employees must be nicotine-free. A negative 10-panel drug screening, including nicotine (cotinine), is required.
• All requests for time off must be included in the initial submission.

Facility Details

This is a Short Term Acute Care facility with a total of 180 staffed beds. Charting is completed using EPIC software. Free parking is available for staff in any unrestricted space.
