Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical units with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The role involves managing heavy swing bed populations and working in a fast-paced hospital environment requiring strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within the Medical Surgical unit following established nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to facility policies, including smoke-free environment and compliance protocols.
• Ensure timely discharge planning and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license to practice in Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
• Familiarity with heavy swing bed populations and high patient ratios (up to 6:1).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
