We're seeking a passionate School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in the Norfolk, Virginia area. In this role, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success through comprehensive psychological services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results.
• Develop comprehensive evaluation reports and present findings to IEP teams.
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding behavioral and academic interventions.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs through evidence-based practices.
• Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with federal and state special education regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Active Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start date.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
