staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Coordinator, Telemetry - $31-43 per hour

Job Summary In addition to the staff nurse role, the RN Clinical Coordinator, Telemetry assumes shift responsibilities for the care delivery team. The coordinator assists in coordinating care by assigning and scheduling staff, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating patient care. They support process improvement activities and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to resolve unit-based issues, provide input to nursing staff performance appraisals, assist with staff educational requirements, and participate in unit and hospital activities. The coordinator supplements staffing under direction of Administrative Director and/or Clinical Manager and may perform an abbreviated patient care assignment to fulfill leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Function as lead and resource person for nursing personnel. Act as a clinical resource person and assist the clinical manager in planning and facilitating staff meetings and staff development. Collaborate with manager in prospective monitoring of the schedule to assure adequate nurse‑patient ratio on a given shift; review monthly schedule and communicate with staffing office regarding staffing changes. Facilitate shared decision‑making among staff and improve length of stay by coordinating unit throughput on a given shift. Coordinate or provide in‑service programs to help staff maintain or enhance competence in fulfilling responsibilities based on identified patient care needs. Assist manager with interview, selection, retention, mentoring, and evaluation of staff. Participate in development of policies, procedures, and standards for the department. Assist with department process improvement and peer review. Qualifications Associate’s Degree/Diploma required; BSN preferred. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan. One to two years of progressively responsible experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate to others, and facilitate processes. Minimum Level6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria; if internal candidate, preferred. BLS required; ACLS preferred. Up to $25,000 Sign‑on Bonus , based on relevant experience.
