Sleep in your own bed. Maine Oxy is hiring a Class B CDL Driver for our Distribution team. You'll run a scheduled local route delivering compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard goods to our customers, then head home at the end of the day. No overnights, no long hauls. Why drivers like it here Home every night, with consistent local routes Steady, full-time schedule with overtime available A well-maintained fleet and up-to-date equipment Build real customer relationships instead of just dropping and going A team that treats safety as how we work, not a poster on the wall What we offer Starting pay of $29/hour, plus overtime $25 gift certificate for every clean DOT inspection Up to $2,000 in safety bonuses Company-paid healthcare and short-term disability Long-term disability and life insurance 401(k) with company match 3 weeks of paid time off Company-provided PPE, plus paid safety boots and work pants Ongoing training to keep your skills and certifications current What you'll do Run a scheduled local route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts Build good customer relationships and help them stay ahead of their cylinder needs Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional QualificationsWhat you'll need Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and airbrakes At least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years A clean record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry Experience handling compressed gases is a plus, not a requirement What to expect (this is physical, hands-on work) Drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending, standing, and reaching Routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds, occasionally more with equipment Work indoors and out, from roughly -10°F to over 100°F Use your senses to spot leaking gas from cylinders (see, hear, smell) Why Maine Oxy What we deliver matters: welding, manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverage, and more Local routes and a steady schedule that respects your time A safety-first team that has your back Maine Oxy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
