Cashier Supervisor – Conference Event Location: Kentucky International Convention Center – Louisville, KY Pay: $26.00/hour Employment Type: Temporary / One-Week Conference Assignment Industry: Event Staffing / Retail / Customer Service Position Overview Allegiance Staffing is hiring an experienced Cashier Supervisor to oversee checkout operations for a temporary merchandise store at a week-long conference at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY. The Cashier Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to the cashier team while ensuring accurate transactions, proper cash-handling procedures, efficient checkout lines, and excellent customer service. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for someone with previous Lead Cashier, Head Cashier, Front-End Supervisor, Retail Supervisor, or POS leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide daily direction to the cashier team
• Oversee checkout operations during the conference
• Ensure cashiers follow proper cash-handling and transaction procedures
• Monitor cash register, POS, and credit card transactions for accuracy
• Count and verify cash banks at the beginning and end of the workday
• Assist with register reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
• Support opening and closing procedures
• Monitor checkout traffic and help maintain efficient customer lines
• Step in and operate a register during high-volume periods as needed
• Assist cashiers with transaction questions and register issues
• Resolve basic customer service concerns professionally
• Coordinate with Greeters and Store Operations staff to maintain an organized checkout area
• Ensure registers have necessary bags and supplies throughout the day
• Communicate staffing, customer, or register concerns to event management
• Assist with merchandise and temporary store setup on Thursday
• Perform additional event retail duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous cashier supervisory, lead cashier, retail leadership, or front-end supervisory experience preferred
• Strong cash-handling and money-counting skills
• Experience operating cash registers, POS systems, and credit card machines
• Comfortable supervising and directing a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and approachable leadership style
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Comfortable working in a busy conference environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for the full workday
• Ability to walk throughout checkout and merchandise areas
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while operating registers
• Ability to assist with merchandise and store setup as needed
