• Employment Type: Locum tenens
• Location: State College, Pennsylvania
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,290 - $7,450
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks with ongoing coverage needs
• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Average Admissions: Approximately 6 to 8 per night
• Average Census: Typically in the 60s
• Setting: Open ICU
• EMR: Epic

• Board certified or board eligible physician required
• Minimum of 1 year of hospitalist, internal medicine, or inpatient clinical experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience managing adult inpatient care strongly preferred
• Comfort working in an open ICU setting preferred
• Ability to complete credentialing and privileging requirements in a timely manner
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork in a hospital setting

• Provide overnight hospitalist coverage for adult inpatients
• Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform thorough clinical assessments
• Update charts and documentation with current findings, treatment plans, and outcomes in Epic
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
• Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs and test results
• Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans, progress, and questions
• Coordinate with nursing and interdisciplinary staff to support safe, effective inpatient care
• Manage admissions and provide ongoing hospital medicine coverage in a collaborative environment
