Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $1,912 per week

Travel Nursing Position – Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care (PCU) Travel nursing position for a registered nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care (Progressive Care Unit – PCU) at La Porte, Indiana. Responsibilities The PCU RN delivers care for patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough for ICU care. Tasks include: Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients; interpret and record electronic displays. Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment indicates adverse symptomatology. Requirements 1–2 years recent acute care experience. ACLS and BLS certification (additional certifications may be required before assignment). Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds; must be able to lift 20 pounds easily. Strong coping skills for a fast‑paced environment and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
