Collaborating Physician - Mobile Bedside Musculoskeletal & Pain Care (Part-Time / 1099)Job Title: Collaborating Physician - Mobile Bedside Musculoskeletal & Pain CareEmployment Type: Part-Time | 1099 Independent ContractorLocation: Cookeville / Upper Cumberland, TN, USSchedule:Part-Time (approximately 1-4 hours per week)Flexible schedulingNo nightsNo weekendsNo on-call responsibilities.Patient Population: Geriatric patients (Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities)Work Setting: Mobile bedside practicePosition Overview:We are seeking a Collaborating Physician to join a clinician-led mobile practice providing consultative bedside musculoskeletal and pain management services to residents of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and inpatient rehabilitation facilities throughout the Cookeville / Upper Cumberland region.This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for flexible, part-time work with minimal administrative responsibilities. Administrative support for scheduling, billing, compliance, credentialing, and malpractice setup is provided, allowing you to focus on clinical collaboration and patient care.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the collaborating physician under a Tennessee Collaborative Practice Agreement for the Physician Assistant teamProvide physician consultation and periodic chart reviewComplete approximately one hour of chart review per week per Physician AssistantConduct a minimum of one on-site visit per monthRemain available by phone or secure messaging during clinical hours for occasional consultationOptionally evaluate and manage your own panel of post-acute patients with musculoskeletal, pain, functional, and rehabilitative needsPerform or supervise bedside ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections (if appropriately trained)Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary facility teamsQualifications:Required:MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license (or willingness to obtain one)Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Pain MedicineCurrent DEA registrationMedicare enrolled or eligiblePreferred:Experience in post-acute care, skilled nursing facilities, geriatrics, or rehabilitation medicineComfort managing musculoskeletal and pain conditions in geriatric patientsExperience performing ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injectionsCompensation:Fixed monthly collaboration stipend (based on the number of Physician Assistants supported)Competitive, uncapped share of collections for personally treated patients1099 Independent Contractor engagementMalpractice contribution negotiable
