Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wayland that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Verify and record incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Prepare and package outgoing products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials within the warehouse.
• Maintain organized inventory in the warehouse, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or defects.
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documents.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and physical inventory
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks throughout the shift

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift, particularly in tight manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scales).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
