RN Supervisor – WeekendsAn established, mission-driven healthcare and senior living provider in Connecticut is seeking clinically sound, dependable Weekend RN Supervisors to lead weekend operations.Reporting to nursing administration, the Weekend RN Supervisor provides on-site clinical leadership, triage oversight, and administrative support to charge nurses, floor nurses, and certified nursing assistants (CNAs). This role ensures seamless continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety across weekend shifts while maintaining a supportive environment for unit staff.Key Responsibilities:Weekend Clinical Leadership: Supervise, support, and direct weekend nursing operations, ensuring person-centered care aligns with individualized care plans and physician ordersUnit Operations & Rounds: Conduct routine rounds across clinical units to monitor resident conditions, medication administration, infection control standards, and nursing staff workflowsTriage & Emergency Response: Provide rapid clinical decision-making during resident status changes, acute clinical events, or facility operational issuesAdmissions & Transfers: Assist floor staff with weekend admissions, transfers, room assignments, and hospital discharge ordersStaff Guidance & Support: Serve as a clinical resource, coach, and mentor to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, fostering teamwork and maintaining strong shift accountabilityDocumentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in compliance with Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and CMS regulationsQualifications:Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of ConnecticutClinical Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or sub-acute rehabilitation environmentLeadership Skills: Prior supervisory, unit manager, desk nurse, or charge nurse experience in a long-term care setting strongly preferredClinical Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shift priorities, and make critical decisions during weekend hoursEMR Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for clinical documentation and order entriesBenefits:Baylor Incentive Option: Full-time status and benefits earned by working 32 weekend hours (paid as 38 hours)Health & Wellness Coverage: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans with robust employee well-being and support resourcesRetirement Plan with Match: Employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement plan offering Traditional and Roth options with a 100% match up to 2% of contributions (plus an additional 1% match potential based on eligibility)Paid Time Off (PTO): Generous accrued PTO program combining vacation, personal, and sick time, with accrual rates based on length of serviceConnecticut Paid Sick Leave: Accrues at 1 hour per 30 hours worked (up to 40 hours annually)Paid Holidays: 6 paid company holidays per yearTuition & Educational Support: Annual course and tuition reimbursement of up to $4,000 per year for eligible full-time employeesIf you are a dedicated Registered Nurse seeking a high-impact weekend leadership role or Baylor schedule in Connecticut, we would love to connect with you!
