Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members. What you’ll do Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes and makeup instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies; ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, cold‑chain, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies; ensure quality and date‑control standards for bakery items; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
