JOB TITLE: CDL Delivery Driver

JOB SUMMARY: The delivery driver is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of their trucks, fork trucks, loading and unloading of products to be transported from our facility to various customer sites.

Key performance objectives are:
• Ensure safety practices are being followed daily. • Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations. • Be comfortable working in the various weather elements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned.
• Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by leading by example.
• Load and secure concrete products onto flatbed truck using a forklift or boom crane.
• Unload products safely and securely at a customer's site using boom crane or oversee and coordinate the safe unloading by customer.
• Safely operate a vehicle between our facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route.
• Abide by the companies safety regulations, including safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding any necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain any logs that may be required by Federal and State regulations and/or company policy.
• Perform inspection of vehicles and cranes to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.
• Ensure all maintenance requests are submitted to the maintenance manager for timely repair and lower down time. Assist with vehicle maintenance as coordinated with the Maintenance Manager.
• Other tasks as instructed by the Lead Delivery Driver or Sr. Dispatch Manager. These tasks may be unrelated to the Lead Driver's other responsibilities listed here, but the Lead Driver must keep in mind that our company is a small business where employees must wear multiple hats.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have or be working towards the following qualifications:
• Commercial Drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Flexibility with working hours.
