How you will contribute:Estimate upgrades to existing customers' fire sprinkler systemsLeverage your persuasion and relationship management skills by developing and growing a customer baseApply your project management abilities by performing preliminary design, bid estimates, preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication, and seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern's fire protection projects are competitively bidPrepare scope and quotation letters for customers, maintain monthly estimate logs, meet with management on a regular basis to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates, participate in turnover meetings as required, and assist with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested, assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendentWhat you need to qualify:Ahern will make the most out of your two-plus years of fire protection contracting experienceThe ideal candidates with design, sales, project management or field experience will all be consideredYou will stand out if you have prior experience in bidding work and a strong understanding of estimatingMust have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat's in it for you?
