It provides children with a developmentally appropriate early childhood education. The role of a Pre-K Counts Instructor is to support the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree & PDE Early Childhood Certification Experience with pre-school population desired Knowledge in Early Literacy Ability to work with a culturally diverse population Able to work at centers within Delaware County Able to work within a team concept Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to frequently lift twenty pounds Basic computer skills Please note that prior to being offered a position with DCIU all clearances must be on file.
