Job Opportunity: Staff Radiologist

Our organization is currently in search of a dedicated, full-time Staff Radiologist to deliver comprehensive Diagnostic Radiology services to our esteemed Veterans.

• Provide a wide array of diagnostic radiology services, including but not limited to CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Demonstrate proficiency in nuclear medicine, encompassing the interpretation of general nuclear medicine studies, cardiac studies, and PET/CT scans.
• Administer therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, such as I-131 sodium iodide, Ra-223 dichloride, and Y-90 microspheres.
• Oversee compliance with NRC regulations in collaboration with the radiation safety officer and chief nuclear medicine technologist.
• Engage in tele-radiology services and provide interpretation for cardiac nuclear studies for various facilities within the healthcare system.

Our healthcare system features a 467-bed facility spread across three campuses in the Boston metropolitan area. The nuclear medicine division is part of the Radiology department and is equipped with three SPECT-CT cameras and a PET-CT scanner.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
• A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from a VA-approved institution is required.
• Possession of a current, unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program, leading to eligibility for board certification.
• Additional requirements include certification from the American Board of Radiology, with preference given to candidates certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

Candidates must have completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Exceptions apply for residents currently enrolled in accredited programs, who may be appointed as "Physician Resident Providers" under specific conditions.
