Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services with 12 patient encounters per shift
Must hold an active Kentucky medical license
Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible
BLS certification required
Credentialing timeframe approximately 45 days
Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices
Perform ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - both diagnostic and therapeutic
Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
Perform small bowel biopsy
Perform lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy - both flexible and rigid
Perform colonoscopy including with biopsy and excision of polyp
Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
Locum tenens engagement with ASAP start date on an ongoing basis

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
