Job Title: Superintendent CWI Workover & Intervention

Location: Houston, TX 77042

Contract Duration

• 6 months to 1 year
• Potential extension depending on additional project requirements and business needs.

Work Schedule

• Full-time assignment with primarily office hours
• Work hours are flexible , rather than a fixed shift.
• The candidate must be available 24 hours for emergencies because this is an operational/field-support leadership role.
• This does not necessarily mean they work 24-hour shifts. It means they may be contacted outside normal office hours when an urgent operational issue occurs.

Location & Travel

• Primarily office-based in Houston, TX , supporting customer operations.
• Travel required for:
  • Site visits to Louisiana facilities.
  • Offshore rig/platform visits.
  • Operational audits.
  • Project and operational support as required.
• Estimated travel frequency: Approximately 2 trips per month , depending on operational requirements.
• Per-diem provided for travel.

Job Summary

The Superintendent CWI is responsible for the execution of well programs, including drilling, completion, workover, and intervention operations , ensuring that activities are performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

The Superintendent CWI serves as the focal point for the Wellsite Supervisor, reviewing daily operations and program changes. This position also acts as a key communication link between the rig/wellsite, Product Lines, clients, contractors, and third parties to ensure resources are deployed efficiently.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in Workover & Intervention operations .
• Strong experience in:
  • Workover Operations.
  • Well Intervention Operations.
  • Offshore Operations.
• Proven ability to make independent operational decisions.
• Experience leading and supervising well operations and field teams.
• Strong understanding of operational risk management.

Highly Preferred Experience

• Plug & Abandonment (P&A) experience strongly preferred.
• Offshore platform experience.
• Additional drilling experience is beneficial.

Required Certifications

• Well Control Certification .
• Certifications required for offshore/Gulf of America operations.
• Additional offshore safety certifications are beneficial.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced offshore Workover & Intervention Superintendent with 5 10+ years of leadership experience , current Well Control certification, strong operational decision-making skills, and preferably Plug & Abandonment (P&A) experience.

The candidate should be capable of independently leading offshore operations, managing operational risks, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and serving as a trusted operational authority for the customer and project team.

Key Responsibilities

HSE, Quality & Compliance

• Drive continuous improvement of HSE processes by identifying and implementing action plans.
• Monitor and record project execution results and recommend performance improvements.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain a continuous feedback loop.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Integrated Product Line standards, including standing orders.
• Demonstrate strong QHSE leadership throughout the project.
• Conduct regular wellsite visits and QHSE/rig audits in coordination with the QHSE Coordinator.

Operations & Project Execution

• Lead and supervise offshore Workover & Intervention activities.
• Support Plug & Abandonment projects.
• Manage operations and ensure deliverables are documented and completed according to the planned program.
• Monitor operations, assess progress, and provide regular operational reports.
• Review operational problems and support job incidents, operational changes, incident response, and recovery activities.
• Coordinate with Product Lines, contractors, vendors, customers, and operational teams.
• Ensure operational activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the approved work program.

Planning & Resource Management

• Forecast and plan medium- and long-term resource requirements to support operational programs.
• Ensure resources are available to meet project requirements.
• Participate in pre-job planning and kickoff meetings with Product Lines, relevant contractors, and customers to establish a common understanding of the work scope.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers, and equipment.
• Coordinate the activities of Product Lines and third parties to ensure compliance with the work program, optimum efficiency, and service quality.

Cost & Performance Management

• Ensure cost control of the operational program against the approved project budget.
• Monitor project execution and identify opportunities to improve operational productivity and efficiency.
• Validate that project deliverables meet quality and acceptance requirements.
• Ensure continuous improvement of quality processes.

Field Leadership & Development

• Attend the rig site as required for critical wellsite activities.
• Consolidate lessons learned throughout the operational campaign.
• Make critical operational decisions in the absence of management.
• Provide training, coaching, and development for Wellsite Supervisors and other personnel under direct supervision.
• Support operational readiness activities, audits, and customer requirements.
