Job Overview The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing Financial Statement and related tasks in the accounting department. Our Accounting Department processes a high volume of transactions for multiple‑store and holdings entities. Ono Hawaiian BBQ would like a person who is proactive, experienced, detail‑oriented, deadline driven, multi‑tasking and has a high level of accuracy in reviewing and processing financial reports for each location. Responsibilities Upload positive pay and ACH payment files Download bank activity and statements Prepare bank reconciliations and daily cash flow projections Prepare outstanding check lists for clean‑up Research and provide check cleared copies Research and post coin orders Perform stop payment requests Prepare monthly Financial Statements for all companies Analyze revenue and expense current vs prior month or year Prepare and post inventory change reports Prepare journal entries Review general ledger and ensure accuracy of GL coding Prepare food cost worksheets and reconciliations Prepare insurance allocation and amortization Prepare bank and expense worksheets for quarterly closing verification Review sales tax reports Post equity earnings and calculate monthly dividends for distribution Prepare forms 1099 and 571 business property tax Review tax returns and AJE postings Generate financial statements for all other holding companies Prepare monthly sales comparisons and analysis Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company Qualifications / Education Accounting degree Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (AR, AP and financial experience) Advanced Excel skills: V‑look‑up, Pivot tables Eligible for bonus program Benefits & Perks 401(k) matching program Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents Company‑paid life insurance and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Generous PTO and sick time Paid holidays Company‑paid bonus program Access to online discounts for amusement parks, restaurants, movie theatres, spas, sporting events, and more Additional Information Ono Hawaiian BBQ is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
