Associate Director of Catering Sales Starting Salary: $100,000 yearly + depending on experience. We are seeking a strategic, enthusiastic and driven sales leader to serve as Associate Director of Catering Sales. This position plays a critical role in leading a large and growing team to achieve ambitious catering service sales goals for Turning Stone Resort Casino as we open our sixth hotel, The Crescent, and double our conference space with the debut of The Grand Expo around Labor Day 2026. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, master relationship builder, and highly organized professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment. Your day‑to‑day as the Associate Director of Catering Sales Direct the development and execution of sales upsell strategies for Turning Stone Resort Casino in partnership with the Director of Sales across food and beverage, ancillary services, event technology, golf, spa, entertainment and retail. Lead and mentor a team of Services Managers, CS Concierge, and Billing Specialist, and manage select key vertical accounts as assigned. Regularly seek out creative ways to sell the full scope of services offered by Turning Stone and other Turning Stone Enterprises to event clients; collaborate cross‑functionally with internal departments including Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Events, and Operations to optimize total event revenue. Establish and nurture strong client relationships that drive repeat and referral business through lead generation and drawing on resources for efficient response times. Monitor market trends, competitive set performance, and business intelligence to adjust strategies as needed. Deliver clear, consistent, and motivational communication to the team and stakeholders that continuously drive results and raise awareness for the Turning Stone Resort Casino brand and its quality offerings. Oversee comprehensive execution of booked events from pre‑event consultation, on‑site event participation, detailing and executing the event, as well as post‑event guest satisfaction follow‑up. Supervise and mentor team members across departments for all BEOs, Group Resumes, and required diagrams for functions. Lead the team that ensures accurate and timely billing clients. Assist Director of Sales with report analysis, annual business planning and budgeting, as well as identifying process improvements and goal setting. Represent the property at industry events, trade shows, and client‑facing meetings as determined. Analyze data to build the team’s funnel working with Strategic Analytics and internal resources along with the Director of Sales. From routine report analysis to annual business planning and budgeting, identify opportunities and process improvements as a daily part of the role. Work experience and key attributes Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field highly preferred. Minimum five years of direct sales experience; typically 7+ years of increasing responsibility in a fast‑growing sales environment. Experience leading/supervising large teams within a complex hospitality/casino enterprise preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills required. Strong understanding of dynamic pricing, hotel revenue yield management. Organized, able to meet deadlines and handle difficult negotiation situations. Ready to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and willing to travel for trade shows, conventions and client networking meetings. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Delphi.
