Travel Physical Therapist Assistant

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Fort Mill, SC. You will deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a home health setting. Responsibilities include administering treatment plans, therapeutic exercises and modalities, documenting patient status, coordinating care, applying infection control practices, scheduling clients, and communicating changes in patient condition or equipment needs. This role requires flexibility, local travel, and the ability to work independently and with interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Required to start the assignment in South Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in clinical practice. Required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification. Required.
• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and personal vehicle insurance. Required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing, and walking. Required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. Required.
• Must maintain required continuing education and licensure. Required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in home health environments. Preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatric physical therapy and common age-related conditions. Preferred.

Assignment Details

• Position: Travel Physical Therapist Assistant for home health in Fort Mill, SC.
• Schedule: Days, 5x8 shift pattern.
• Local travel between patient homes required. Candidate must be able to travel locally as part of the assignment.

Impacting Patient Care

As a PTA in this home health role you will support patients recovering from injury or illness by implementing therapeutic interventions developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
