Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift

Position: Registered Nurse - Night Shift Overview: Responsible for providing safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, communicates effectively with patients and families, and documents all care activities. Performs assessments, educates patients, supports professional development, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives. May assist with wound/ostomy/skin care and technical procedures as needed. Responsibilities Develops and revises patient care plans based on ongoing assessments. Communicates care plans and patient data to team and families, respecting patient preferences. Provides tailored education on disease management and emergency care. Supports team education and shares best practices. Assists with technical procedures such as injections, IV management, and oxygen therapy. Participates in performance improvement and research activities. Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and assists with patient transportation if necessary. Qualifications & Skills Current IL RN license; BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery or acute care nursing experience preferred. BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Strong communication, assessment, and collaborative skills.
