Medical Weight Management - Advanced Practice Provider

Overview Rush University Medical Center invites applications for the position of Medical Weight Management Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This role will support Rush system growth initiatives including access to Midwest Ortho at Rush referrals and virtual specialty care consults. The provider will function independently in their own clinic at up to three clinic locations: Rush University Medical Center, Oak Brook, Oak Lawn and Hinsdale, IL. Duties & Responsibilities Four 10‑hour or five 8‑hour shifts per week. No weekends, no call. Report directly to the Department of Surgery Lead APP. 100% outpatient. Preferred Qualifications Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered. Preferred candidates have an interest in medical management of obesity and lifestyle medicine and a strong background in internal medicine or managing chronic health conditions. Position Requirements Nurse Practitioner Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position. Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Physician Assistant Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain licensure through the IDFPR. Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program. Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Pay Range: $124,610 - $175,000 Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
